18U | Preparing for the Next Level

At 18U, our athletes are competing in a highly competitive environment while preparing for their next chapter, whether that means college softball or simply carrying the lessons of competitive athletics forward. Players are expected to take significant ownership of their development and their role within the team.

• Players typically have defined primary positions and roles

• Some athletes may remain versatile and contribute in multiple positions based on their skill set and team needs

• Emphasis on advanced skills, game strategy, consistency, preparation, and competing under pressure

• Players are expected to take ownership of their individual development, conditioning, preparation, and performance

• Lineups and defensive roles are determined by the coaching staff based on team needs and competitive situations

• Not every player may be in the hitting lineup, particularly at higher-level tournaments

• Playing time is not guaranteed or equal and will be determined by the coaching staff

• Coaches will continue to identify appropriate opportunities for players to contribute to the team

• Our goal is to prepare athletes to compete at the highest level appropriate for them while developing confidence, accountability, leadership, and the skills needed for whatever comes next
